Volcano Farmer’s Market

It’s Sunday morning and my favorite early morning activity is a trip to the Volcano Farmer’s Market at The Cooper Center on Wright Road only a few minutes from the Lodge. It is the Purr-fect way to start the day. The farmers market is every Sunday at. 6:00am. The vendors say they stay until 10:00am, but this is Hawaii. Hang Loose. If the waves are breaking its over by 9. Kowabunga Baby! I walk around checking out the local produce, breads, coffee, jams, candy, grass fed beef and poi. Every now and then a piece of something good falls on the ground. As a good steward I rush over to check it out. The crafts and art are local and make purr-fect gifts for both felines and humans. You pass the Cooper Center coming and going on to Volcano Village Lodge . Remember, it is off the Wright road, not the wrong street. It’s right by the fire station and on the right side of the road right in the parking lot from 6-10am. After the market I’m back in time for my morning nap. Ahh…
