Room details and amenities for guests with disabilities:

  •  Hale Kilauea – is off the main entrance to the property and is accessed by a wooden walk-way without steps. There is a step-in shower with a curtain entrance. This is a small room without much space for a wheelchair.
  • Haleakala – is accessed via a gravel pathway and has 10 wooden steps to enter the room. The bathroom has a walk in shower, this room cannot accommodate a wheelchair.
  • Mauna Kea – is accessed via a gravel pathway and has three steps up to enter the room. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. This room cannot accommodate a wheelchair.
  • Mauna Loa – this is our biggest room. The entrance is via a sliding glass doorway that has a very small lip. To access this room from the parking area you travel along a gravel path to a ramp to the walkway. From the ramp and walkway you can access this room without stairs. This is probably our best room for guests with physical disabilities.

Once inside everything is on one level. The bathroom has a shower and bathtub combination. We can supply additional grab bars and/or a shower stool.
The main lobby/reception area is accessed via a ramp. The path from the parking area to the ramp is gravel and is wide enough for a wheelchair.
