Haleakala is a dormant shield volcano with one of the world’s largest volcanic craters. Its rim reaches an elevation of 10,023 feet (3,055 meters) and is located a short drive from the Inn.

One of the two newest lodges in our handcrafted collection, the Haleakala’s open-beam ceilings, Mahogany French doors and large windows bring in the natural light and forest air into this 400-sf pavilion. Bask in sheer luxury and natural beauty. Nestled in the rain forest, Haleakala is a custom designed and richly hand crafted octagonal pavilion. It is made of the highest quality, toxic free natural Redwood and White Cedar from the sustainable second growth forests.

The Haleakala pavilion is reached partly through a covered walkway, the garden, and a covered entry deck. The pavilion’s covered private deck (lanai) in the back faces the majestic lava rock formations. It’s a place of our earthly energy (our Tibetan temple gardener believes it is an energy vortex), where the presence of Pele (our goddess of Volcanoes) maybe felt.

Contemplate the beauty and spirit of the rain forest and volcanoes while sipping your morning coffee on the lanai. Inside the Haleakala pavilion, you will find all of the comforts of your home — a queen-size Mahogany bed with the most luxurious beddings, a sofa (converts into a double bed), a cozy gas fireplace, LCD TV/DVD, CD player, wireless connection, in-room refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave/toaster oven, teak dining table, lavish robes, slippers, private bath, and more.
